<Sadurean> After spending the night at Sachi's, the bard is up early so he can head home to change and get ready for his three hours of classes he has to teach. He's completely exhausted. He didn't sleep barely at all, and what slumber he did achieve was mostly nightmares of fire and burning. The boy walks the predawn streets in a bit of a daze, unconcerned with much of anything as he drags himself along.
* Adina was always up before dawn, baking bread, making breakfast, but this morning all the chores were done and she was in her room above the door, watching out the window as she bundled herself in a blanket and drew in the fog on the window. Occasionally she would sit in her window and watch the street, hoping she might see Bryce one day or night on his patrol. Everything was becoming quite complicated and her father--
<Adina> --father seemed more and more angered by the situation. However, it was not Bryce she would spot this early morning, though the young man was not easily discernable until he neared, especially considering the sun hadn't yet woken. Recognizing him she would rush down the stairs and cling to her blanket tightly opening the door a crack, "Durean?"
* Sadurean jumps at his name, glancing around for a moment in confusion until he sees Adina. "Oh.. Good morning." He says quietly as he closes the distance between them. He looks stressed. What the cleric did.. the encounter. He can't speak of it but it's burning in his thoughts almost constantly. And the guilt..
<Adina> "Inside, inside quick ... its freezing out!" She'd practically pull him in so long as he didn't resist. Hugging the blanket to herself more tightly. It was evident she was no wearing her usual uniform attire, but rather a simple nightgown whose frills peaked below where the blanket ended. She shivered again and lead him quietly past her father's office and into the kitchen, as not to disturb the patients.
* Sadurean isn't sure why Adina is dragging him into her home, but he puts up little resistance. He's wearing his heavy hooded blue cloak, the cold wasn't bothering him too much. "Adina.. " He says as she pulls him along. "Adina. .. Why are you-.. What's going on?" For once he doesn't know all the news of the Galen family, and he's oblivious to her latest plight.
<Adina> She is getting two cups and some tea - but the blanket has obviously become to cumbersom. About half way through getting the cups she takes it off and lies it recklessly over the back of the chair. Frantically looking for her tea, even if he doesn't want any, "I haven't seen Bryce for several days and all I hear are rumors... when I questioned a Watchman who was in just last night he said he hadn't seen him..."
* Sadurean watches her move about, helping himself to a seat at the table as he yawns. The warmth of the kitchen reminds him of how little sleep he achieved. "Bryce?.. the healer? Adina, he took Cayla's baby." Surely the girl knows how little Durean cares for the Larose brothers. He's never said anything good about either of them.
<Adina> She seems to ignore him, slowing a moment as she pours his glass of tea and nudges it towards him as she plops down in a seat across, "He also said... the only interesting thing he'd seen in weeks was that infernal Sergeant Zahr entering your house! That... man burned down half a dozen homes! Durean... Please tell me you have no business with him."
* Adina has quit IRC (Connection reset by peer)
* Adina has joined #Sinari_Wilderness
<Sadurean> Considering that business was yesterday, she must get her news quickly. He's glad that she dropped the subject of Larose, but the new topic is even worse. He tenses, an aggreived expression returning to his face as he focuses his attention onto the mug of hot tea in front of him. He reaches to pick it up and takes a very slow sip.
<Adina> She waited, impatiently perched on the edge of her seat. Rahdrey had been bad enough with his magic works and throwing her in prison for trying to apoligize but this man did not enter buildings, he burned them, and he had no mercy or conscious - using life as leverage and the fibers of a home as timber for the purpose of fuel. She certainly didn't want Durean working for him, then again the alternative might be worse. "Well..."

* Sadurean can feel the will crushing his own, the heat of the fire when he tries to find some way to phrase things so he might explain. The more he fights with a desire to speal, the harder it pushes back, and he can feel his palms and forehead growing sweaty. All Adina sees is a furrowing of those thick black brows as he continues to stare down at his tea. "It was nothing." He says finally, avoiding her gaze.
<Adina> Her own brows would furrow as she leaned back once more easing off of the subject, "Durean... are you alright? You're sweating," Her inquiry wasn't really intended for his mental state, but from a purely medical stand point, even with the warmth of the interior he shouldn't be sweating so immensely. Without waiting for his answer she leaned across the table and put the flat of her hand to his moist forehead, in attempts to feel f
<Adina> -- feel for a temperature.
<Sadurean> He had told Sachi that he thought he was getting a cold, but giving the same excuse to Adina may land him trapped here in the infirmary, and that's not something he can handle right now. He doesn't feel to be running a fever. "Oh.. I don't know. I'm fine. It's warm in here." Normally he's far more social, far less withdrawn. He takes a small sip of the tea, but his appetite is nearly non-existant. He wants to tell her.. warn her.. Even thinking about a way to indirectly share the information leaves his mouth dry and his throat tight.
<Sadurean> to tell her.. warn her.. Even thinking about a way to indirectly share the information leaves his mouth dry and his throat tight.
* Adina retracts and looks at him oddly a moment, not used an a reserved bard. Bring her hands back she'll rub her stomach a moment. She hadn't yet touched her tea, so surely it wasn't that. Standing quickly, seemingly satisfied with the boy's answer only to rush to the largest basin of the sink across the stove and pull a bowl free to vomit.
* Sadurean doesn't realize what's going on until he can hear her retching, so involved was he in his own thoughts. He jumps to his feet, hurrying over to her. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" Heavens, how did he make her sick by being antisocial? Sadurean isn't the greatest when it comes to being there for people, but no one else is up and clearly Adina isn't feeling well.
* Adina shudders, the sensation isn't exactly pleasent. Durean's next to her now but she pushes him away a bit as she wipes her face clean and pours a glass of water to rinse her mouth. Finishing the ordeal well enough on her own, "yes, yes... its... nothing. Ugh.. must have caught something from a patient... " That was feasable but unlike the bard she was a terrible liar and fabricated stories very rarely.--
<Adina> --If he was fooled by this attempt she was either getting better, or he was too concerned to notice she was trying to hide something.
* Sadurean may be rather troubled with his own problems, but Adina's ability, or lack thereof doesn't fool him. He's been raised as a bard, by a bard.. and while music is his passion, he's also known around town for his information gathering abilities. "Caught something?.. " He asks in a skeptical tone, leaning against the counter and watching her more closely now.
* Dice has left #Sinari_Wilderness
* Adina gives him the one brow raised sort of look which threatens him to try his luck with her, "yes... and I'll have it a while by my guess." The last be she sort of mumbles as she continues to wipe herself free of imaginary dust - the whole event didn't leave her particularily messy but it was by habit if nothing else that she remained clean. Pulling back her blond curls which had grown back to almost their full length again.
<Adina> --know everything don't you Durean..."
* Sadurean backs off, slinking back to the table to sit down. As much as he ought to be on his way, going home is still rather intimidating. What is Mendrick is there, waiting? Or other Ourani? The entire experience had been terrifying and what the cleric did to him is beyond unnerving. "Adina.. I need to tell you something, but you can't.. you can't ask a lot of questions. Okay?" For once he isn't going to nose into her business, it seems. At least not the pregnancy.
<Sadurean> into her business, it seems. At least not the pregnancy.
* Adina returns to the table, a little pale, and almost looking like a ghost as the nightgown shifts and sways with her as she walks back to the table, able to have a sip at least of her tea. "... Sure? Durean wasn't usually one to divulge secrets, no, he was more of the type to capture and hoard them for the highest bidder. This recent change in nature was intriguing.
<Sadurean> He rests his elbow on the table, massaging his temple with his fingers as he stares down at the polished wood grain. He can feel the sweat on his skin, and the images and sensations of the scorching heat of Osurak are still potent and fresh. "Stay away from Dianthys. I don't know how involved you are.. but.. just.. stay away." It's difficult to get the words out as they dance dangerously close to topics he's incapable of discussing.
<Sadurean> he's incapable of discussing.
<Adina> He could have said anything but this was truly a most strange thing to hear from the bard, especially considering the nights events. Not that she would have it pieced together for sometime, but the look presently on her face was one of curiosity. "Dianthy's... have you talked to Emelbur or Sinay, is something the matter?" Obviously, but she didn't know he couldn't talk about it.
<Sadurean> "Don't ask me questions! Just listen!" He snaps, rubbing his hands on his face as he feels the compulsion growing. For all intents, the young man simply looks irritable and out of sorts. There's not a mark on him or any sign of mistreatment by the Ourani. "Stay away from him. You shouldn't be getting involved, anyway."
<Adina> "Fine, no questions. But this isn't your matter alone... what happend to your family... that..." She stands back up, half upset that he's told her she can't be involved, when clearly she already it but half defensive of the cause. "Nothing like that should have ever happend... and we can't let it happen again..." She rubs her shoulders, sort of pacing, the nightgown glides across the air though, careless to the worries of its w
<Adina> -- careless to the worries of its wearer.
* Sadurean does little more than shake his head helplessly. There's nothing more he can say. She's too focused on the topic now and he can't force anymore words past the dominating spell. He can only hope she'll listen. He wishes he could warn her of me, his guilt is making him feel sick to his stomach. Mendrick will probably come for her anyway.. he has her name. Durean can do nothing.
<Sadurean> me = more
* Adina wanted him to say something more, but his silence made her feel as if the subject of his family is something she ought to stay away from. After all, her father hadn't been killed. She have her arms another tight squeeze, "How about something to help you sleep... it doesn't look like you've slept in weeks." She was exaggerating but trying to make light of the forbodding--
<Adina> --and elusive topics at hand.
<Sadurean> "No.. I have class to teach, very soon actually. I was going to go home and shower. I don't have time now." Considering that speaking against the Ourani has always been one of his favorite subjects since they rolled into town, it's absolutely bizarre that he says nothing on the subject. He stands again, looking unwell, but only because he's acting so out of his usual fashion. "Thanks for the tea." He murmurs.
<Sadurean> murmurs.
* Adina would nod, letting him out with the blanket again wrapped tightly, reassuring him if he needed anything to come by. Of course she wanted to know what was bothering him and maybe eventually he'd be able to tell her more.
