<D`Cint> D`Cint sits quietly at a round table in the corner of the dining hall, eating whatever horrible or spectacular concoction the cook had made.. She's found it never to be mediocre, it's either exemplary or horrid. Having been sent back to investigative division, she has returned to wearing street clothes, the uniforms she wore out in training retired for blacks and blues, make up, jewelry, <dust>

<D`Cint> <dust> gilded blades. She takes a drink of her coffee and sighs, reclining slightly. <ashes>

* Sadurean heads into the hall, looking to grab a meal before he heads out for his second shift of the day. It's amazing how much extra work time the bard can accumulate. When he spots the lieutenant, he eyes her for a moment before moving to collect a plate of food and a glass of water. It's no secret that he's been to talk with the new captain more than a few times as well.

* D`Cint isn't particularly concerned about Avinash, or Calanthar. The captain would have a very tough time punishing her for something she did while in a command position previous to him coming here. She crosses her legs, comtemplating the body found last night, and this Pvt Versai..

* Sadurean finally crosses the room and sits down across from D'Cint, studying her for a moment before finally speaking, "My father is very angry with you, Lieutenant.." He says quietly, lifting his fork and picking at the food on the plate.

* Sadurean is now known as Pauline

* Kaden has joined #Sinari_Town

* Kaden is now known as Sadurean

<D`Cint> She glances up with a somewhat sinister smirk, "I might suspect so, any father would be, too bad you got caught, or he might be proud.. But tell me, Avinash, why should I give a shit? He hated me before I sent you, Ryn'an too. You should've seen them at the council meeting.. Ah, but all in the family, so I'd be best to keep my mouth shut, no?" She sets her coffee down eyeing him with that <dust>

<D`Cint> <dust> unsettling blue gaze. <ashes>

* Sadurean narrows his gaze slightly, her tone mildly offending to him. "I only got caught because Jayda recognized me. It was bad luck." As if the boy doesn't already feel like a failure about it all. "He wants me under a different officer. He doesn't want me in your unit anymore." It's something that Kaden already wrote to Calanthar about, but Durean doesn't know that bit.

* D`Cint shrugs, "Your father's doing I'm sure.. Well, do enjoy performing regular duties then. I'm afraid I cannot help you, despite pouring all that I am into this watch to turn it into a battle worthy force, I have been overlooked for a commanding position, a humble sergeant having been promoted two ranks past me, and then, with the next slot open given to an old army dog, though he might <dust>

<D`Cint> <dust> actually be more qualified than I, I'm having just a little bit of trouble giving a shit anymore." Let them win their war without me, and I'll act like a lieutenant in an investigative unit, god forbid, sir, I cannot fight, I am but an investigator, have you not infantry to do that task? <ashes>

* ChanServ has quit IRC (notnet.uk.eu.darkmyst.org services.darkmyst.org)

<Sadurean> "What happened at the council meeting? How did Crillner end up ahead of you? No one knew about the mission." And he wasn't around when all the decisions were made, unfortunately. That would have been some juicy gossip at the time. He lifts a hand to brush back his now rather short black hair.

* D`Cint shrugs, "I disagreed with Ryn'an, who your father was backing. I offered a strategic plan to deal with a nearly immenent threat. Your cousin accused me of treason, and I reminded him of the same. Then I was thrown out.. Your father is a powerful man in Sinari, as little as that actually means anywhere else. He walks in hand with your cousin, together they were more formitable than I."

<D`Cint> "My accusations were, as far as I am concerned, true and sound. However, they were unwarranted, and perhaps not the place to voice them. It's of little consequence. You're safe, Captain Calanthar is safe, and I am where I started. No one has lost any ground."

<Sadurean> "Well.. That's good I guess. You're not any worse off. My father is used to getting his way on a lot of things, and he knows a lot of people." He says with a small shrug. If he hadn't so recently gone to talk with the man he might have been more vehemently against Kaden, but Sadurean is in a difficult place right now with his father.

* D`Cint nods, "So I've noticed. I'm an outsider, Avinash, I wont get anywhere here. If Crillner hadn't asked me to stay, I'd be long gone.. I tried to go after you, when he took command, because I wasn't needed here, but he put incharge of training, denied me the privaledge..." She takes a slow breath, calming her nerves, and takes a drink of her coffee.. So now they've taken her soldiers away. <dust>

<D`Cint> <dust> She's a lieutenant in a division where she's only incharge of herself. How pleasant.. <ashes>

<Sadurean> It's not like the request to move the corporal has gone through yet, if it even will. "Calanthar came back. I don't think my father trusts you." He knows the man doesn't, but he's not sure what to say to the woman. He's unusually non-opinionated these days. Maybe the capture situation got to him. Maybe his father did. "You still get to do your job, right? It's not like you're getting paid any less.."

* D`Cint chuckles, "No one does, as I said, I'm an outsider, that's why I'm still a lieutenant, and they've hired in a captain and promoted a sergeant. Yes, I still get paid the same.." She finishes her coffee and sets her cup on the tray, standing to return it.

* Sadurean isn't certain what else to say to the woman. His father is demanding he no longer confide in the woman, and he cares about the guild far more than the Watch. The boy simply sighs and looks down at the food that's still untouched, "Well, good luck, lieutenant.." He murmurs. Has he been won over to the other side once more? It seems so.

<D`Cint> Cinder glances to Sadurean, as she sets her tray down, "Given that you'll likely be told not to associate with me, Sadurean, remember that you're your own man, you walk a path that no one else can walk, and at the end of the path will be what you made along the way. I can't be around to remind you of that anymore." She sets the tray down and returns the salute of a passing soldiers, and <dust>

<D`Cint> <dust> offers Sadurean a weak smile, "Enjoy the bakery." She starts for the exit. <ashes>

* Sadurean looks up again, listening quietly to her words. He nods at her mention of the bakery, offering a smile of his own. He has no clever parting quip for the woman, not today. He has too much on his mind. He's at a turning point where he needs to decide what he's going to do. The bard is starting to realize how some decisions can impact his life.
